How to Use Canva Pro

Step 1 — Get access and sign in

3. 3Sign in at canva.com and confirm the Pro crown icon appears on premium templates and elements.

Step 2 — Set up your Brand Kit first

This is the step most people skip, and it is the one that saves the most time. Adding your logo, colours and fonts once means every future design starts on-brand instead of needing manual fixes.

• Upload your logo in PNG with a transparent background
• Add your exact brand colour hex codes
• Set a heading font and a body font
• Save the kit so it applies across new designs

Step 3 — Use the features that save real time

• Magic Resize: turn one design into Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and story sizes in one click
• Background Remover: cut out products or people without Photoshop
• Brand templates: lock a layout so team members only change text and images
• Content Planner: schedule social posts directly from Canva
• Premium stock library: photos, videos and audio included with Pro

Step 4 — Export correctly

• Social media posts: PNG at standard quality
• Print or flex banners: PDF Print with crop marks and bleed
• Logos and overlays: PNG with transparent background (a Pro-only option)
• Reels and video: MP4 at 1080p
